Ham Radio Repeaters in Northern Utah

Repeaters are devices that receive a signal on one frequency and retransmit it on another frequency, usually with greater power. This allows ham radio operators to communicate over longer distances and with improved signal quality. Northern Utah has a wide network of repeaters covering most of the region.  

Popular Utah Repeaters

W7SP (146.62 MHz): Located on Farnsworth Peak and linked to the Scott's Hill repeater, this repeater provides extensive coverage across the Wasatch Front, Tooele Valley, and even into parts of Nevada and Idaho . It's operated by the Utah Amateur Radio Club (UARC) and serves as a primary ARES system .   

K7JL (147.12 MHz): This repeater, part of the Intermountain Intertie, offers wide coverage along the Wasatch Front and is often used for travel along I-15 . It's known for its reliable performance and connection to a vast network of repeaters.   

W7SU (448.60 MHz): Situated on Mount Ogden, this repeater boasts wide area coverage and is operated by the Ogden Amateur Radio Club (OARC) . It's also a primary ARES system and provides direct access to law enforcement or emergency services.   

WA7KMF (146.72 MHz): Located on Mount Logan, this repeater offers good coverage in Cache Valley and is linked to the 449.625 MHz repeater for extended reach 

K7UCS (145.23 MHz): This repeater provides good coverage in Utah Valley and is operated by the Utah County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (UTCOARES)
